Quick Question
How close can my speaker be to my window when its rolled down. I was just measuring before i put my speakers in and with the gasket i have about 1/4" or a little less. Should i get a small spacer to put inbetween the two or is that enough room that the glass will not be damaged.

Personally, I have never had aproblem with depth and closeness to my windows, meaning I have had a woofer magnet actually touch part of my windown and it just ruined the sticker, Never had a problem with sound, or glass getting marked!! I cannot speak for other users though

It shouldn't be too much of a problem, as it will be perpendicular to the speaker as well as not touching it.

The window can shake in its track, and might hit the window when you slam your door hard. I had 1/4" clearance.
I did that and it cost me 100 bucks for a new window and a couple hours of cleaning glass out of the bottom of the door. The solution was to put Black foam sticky weather stripping on the back of the magnet. Never had that problem again. |
Ok maybe ill just put like a 1/4" spacer in there just for good luck and some weather stripping on there for good measure. Thanks guys.
