Quick question - 4 channel amps
I have a four channel amp, and i was wondring if it's possible to bridge all 4 channels. If not, how can I get the most power out of it to one sub?

you should be able to bridge 2 channels of you amp togther. it should tell you how to do in your manual.

Yeah, I can bridge them. But I am only using an Alpine MRP-F240 4/3/2 channel, so when i do that, i need to turn my deck all the way up (no speakers hooked up) just to hear the damn thing. And it sounds like crap too. It's not in a box, but i was just seeing if that would work.

anyone have a link to the manual?

log in without an account, it'll be there. |
That amp is rated at 40w X 4 RMS....with the 2 rear channels bridged into your sub, you should get 100w RMS.
An enclosure and setting the gains on the amp would go a long way to making the most out of what you already have. You can't use the level of sound you are hearing now to judge the sub or the amp. If you post the model # of the sub, the vehicle its going in and the types of music you listen to, we can help you with a box for the sub...:smilie_da HTH |
