quick question about Audiocontrol 2xs Series II

hi. i'm debating on buying something. i am just wondering if i can run an older style Audiocontrol 2xs SeriesII crossover using only one set of the outputs?

the reason i am asking is because i really only need the 2xs for its Subsonic filter. i only have 1 amp in my system but i see that the 2xs has 2 sets of outputs (high pass and low pass). basically i want to run the RCA's from the sub out on my deck to the 2xs, then from 1 of the outputs on the 2xs to my SSF-less amplifier to block the subsonics below 33hz. will it hurt anything if i only hook up 1 amp to the 2xs?

thanks!

or maybe a Soundstream BX-10 could be a better option. if i don't like the "bass restoration" i could turn the restoration circuit all the way down and still use the subsonic filter?

i apologize, i asked a similar question awhile back but i dont think i asked it right that time.

thanks :)

The 2xs won't care if it has just one amp on it.

thanks for the reply! sounds good.. i bought the 2xs seriesII last night! apparently the newer "concert series" has some better features but this old seriesII should do a great job in my budget system. came with lots of spare chips too!

thanks again!

meh, the only thing the Concert Series allows, IIRC, is changing the subsonic frequency.

Good call on the 2XS - excellent crossover.

awesome! the stock SSF setting of 33Hz works for this application perfectly! i plan on keeping this setup (vehicle B) for a long time. starting the install pretty soon so i'll probably have another post or 2 down the road lol.

thank you sir
