quick question. need to no asap
 
i got a sub. and i need to get an amp. just sum 1 who no's abbout subs and amps like hookin them up tell me if this would work right.

yah it will work at 4 ohm mono on the amp. will be too much power tho.

look for an amp that puts out around 200 watts mono or bridged.

Yeah, around 100 watts per channel or a 200 watt single channel (monoblock) amp will be just fine.

I really don't see how that sony amp would be too much power. It's 400W @ 4ohms when bridged mono.

That sub will take 400 rms. I've used pioneer subs before.
Most of their speakers are underrated on the 'Nominal" power.

Most mfgs have rms at around half the max. Pioneer goes way low on the ratings, to protect themselves from warrantee issues.

As long as you stay out of clipping they'll work fine.
