Im going on a trip and just wondering if they are. Some people are saying they are, some say they arent. Can anyone tell me for sure?

Call up a store that sells them. Someone at the store should know the policy on them if the store carries them. At least I would think!

 

well i beleive they are ilegal. atleast in ontario.

Dont they use photo radar in Calgary? Do they pick up those? I have a bel vector 985 if it matters.

 

Photo radar is used i think anywhere in alberta..

edmonton uses it alot.. i live just outside edmonton.. well pretty much attached.. but like all the small communites here have there own photo..

typically its Ka band i believe... watch for vans on side of road in weird places.. mini vans.. typically side windows will have curtains in em

 

ya legal, i've never got in trouble for having one anyways...
and photo radar is used a lot, look out for mini van, and even older wrecked up looking cars, they like to trap you in this province, lol...
basically any cars on the side of the road, just slow down, it's a good idea
unless your going through Jasper, then it's hard to distinguish...
