yea depending on your preference of sound (sq or loud), look into Fi car audio, or TC sounds. both have good prices and insane subs. Fi's customer service though is unbeatable, i once got 4 emails in one day from the owner, scott atwell, who sold his company, RE audio to US amps who now charge bajillions of dollers for the xxx... but then again no other sub can compete with 54mm xmax and ~2000wrms. The Fi BTL can get louder though

How much power do you have to drive it? There is other solutions at about half price or so. And are you wanting SQ or SPL

Can you provide any information or proof that the MX will handle more power than the XXX? The XXX has much more excursion than the MX (roughly 2.5 times as much) has a much larger coil, and has a higher power rating. Most I know who have owned both indicated the XXX can take more burst power as well.

A much larger coil?

Nevermind actually, I don't want to trigger another 2.5" coil vs. 4" coild showdown...

i thought 4 inches was the same as 4 inches.... nope? might be wrong.
if you actually spend the time to look at the re site, the xxx has a 3 and the mx has a 4.
