RE XXX recone kit
 

Hey guys, a pair of voice coils went on each of my 12" XXX's. Not sure how it happened but it might have been because my amp was clipping.

Does anyone know where I can get recone kits other than from US Amps/RE in California?

I was told it is $160 for each recone kit....they are the 2005 model with the silver baskets.

If I do order it through them, what is the best place to locally get them reconed? (in the GTA)

MTA on here, he is really really busy guy but can recone.
Also at one time, s&s was able to recone as well.

S&S does still recone, although you may have to be the one providing the kit.

I've haved mixed experiences with them in the past. Do they do good work?

I've had a IDMAX that has been sitting at their shop waiting to get reconed for over a year now! Mind you I didn't provide the recone kit but still!

I would be asking them about this more and more, its there busy season and you gotta get on there case once and a while.lol. I have an amp in there now, been there for quite a few months, but I provided the finishing touches on it now, so it should be done very soon.

they dont like to clean the boards on the blown amps they fix and they have an excuse for everything........every amp ive got back from them after monhs went up in smoke as soon as i put power to it.

Where are they located? I don't really feel like shipping 2 x 50lb subs.
