Rear Deck Power For Tweets.
#1
Currently I have a pair of 5.25 coaxials in my door locations and am not too happy with the staging I am gettin. The install of the sub REALLY helped tho to balance out the sound.. anyways what i'm wondering is: since I have no rear speakers I have some amplifier output from my head unit (19w rmsx2) that's not being used. Has anyone used the output on the rear deck to add another set of tweeters at ear level.. or would that muck up the sound havin 2 set's of higs? I'm thinkin it probably would.. then what about takin out the coaxials and havin just the mid's in the doors running off the front hu output and a set of tweets mounted wherever running off the rear outputs.. or would I need a crossover?

I have.
In my last car (my beater Civic) for the first year or so I had my front components running off deck power - fronts speaker outs on the tweets and rear on the mids. It was acceptable while I dragged my *** getting an amp into the car.
Also, I have in the past used the rear speaker outs to run a set of tweeters only, both in the front and in the rear and it worked out well.
Never hurts to try
