Rebuilding New System. Help Plz

Hi i recently got all my stereo stuff stolen and just got my "SGI money" back today, so i'm looking for some advice and/or offers on where to spend my money. I'm open to offers, Got about $1200 to work with for sub(s), amp, and box. I want to be around the 1200-1500 w/rms range, and looking for 2 12's or 1 15.

get one of those tantrum amps that are forsale buy one of my RE 15"HC and you will be set

JarvoCop 05-25-2006 08:41 PM

Sent PM, any other offers?

Sure, if you are after new equipment I would be glad to give you a quote. While used might save you some money short term, a sub being the most abused item in a system makes me kind skeptical. This is why I will not take a sub or speakers in on trade. It then becomes my problem when the sub fails. Give me some info on the vehicle and add me to MSN, forbidden@telus.net instead of PM if you will.

$1200 should get you a few bags of groceries or a brand new 1200-1500 w/rms amp at a Canadian car audio store, if you find one on sale.

Pretty pointless comment there reekor

Nah, there was a point, but you have totally missed it. You might also want to squeeze an alarm out of that $1200, so that all you new stereo stuff does not get stolen again.

There is lots of options. $1200 will get you a sub, amp and alarm. No problem.

Reekor 05-26-2006 07:44 AM

Well yeah, if you want something that compairs with likes of Pyle, Soundstorm or
Visonik.

Wow guy you took the time to find out some of our lines to bash. But your math is not very good. You could get a Clarion DXP11500 1500W rms amp and a Clarion SSW1200 12" Sub and a box for under $1000. Thats just one example. BTW the Pyle and Soundstorm are very entry level and nothing wrong with the Visonik line. Just because a line is not sold at a BigBox store or don't have a mainstream name, doesn't mean it's crap. There is a line for everyone and every budget and what may be your line may not be someone elses.

Seeing that only the two 12"s and the amp are worth $1240 before tax and shipping. The fact that you are willing to eat the tax and shipping charges, and toss in a free box along with knocking off $40 off your list price, makes you one hell of a guy in my book. :smilie_da

What is this so called "entry level" car audio gear? Is this something like the $5 watches or $15 shoes that you can get at wally's world? Or is it more like the happy-meal vs the big mac combo?

Reekor 05-26-2006 10:52 AM

Nope there is no getting mad in car audio, we are all happy people. Well for the most part even though I like pushing people's buttons once in a while.
