relays

if i need to have my amp go off befor my EQ
do i relay the amp line or the EQ line?
and
how much time would the relay give you on a line ?

1/2 second as long as you trigger the amp off first

so i need to have the line with the EQ have a relay on it for time right

with the DIY method you should add a relay to your EQs turn on lead, along with some capacitance on the output so it stays on for a second or two longer....

If you don't feel like dicking around Id suggest a pop eliminator from autosound2000...

^ make sure you use a diode on the remote lead tho. otherwise it wont delay properly. and if you need real long (20 sec) delay... like if you're running tube amps etc. you could program a PAC TR-7 for that.

^ a relay on its own should work just fine since any connection to the turn on lead going into the amp will be cut... using a diode alone will also work and might be a tad bit easier to wire.... (could also be cheaper provided he dosen't have to buy a whole pack of diodes)
