Rockford Fosgate P3001 vs Kenwood KAC-8102D

I need some advice on amps. I am a newbie in the car audio scene and purchased 2 10" infinity kappa perfect 10.1subs (350 rms each - dual 4ohm /2 or 8 ohms) from futureshop and need to get a good amp to power these 2 subs. One of the sales reps advised on a Rockford Fosgate P3001 amp (150x1 @ 4 ohms/300x1 @ 2 ohms) while the other a Kenwood KAC-8102D (300x1 @ 4 ohms/550 x1 @ 2 ohms). I need some help in figuring out which way to go.
I have a dual ported basssworx box
Thanx

Post the exact model number of the subs that you have and the type of box you will have them in.

I had a very similar setup, A Kenwood KAC-8152D (only diff is that it has the remote control bass adjustment) powering 2 of the Kappa 10's, I had them in a sealed box though. Seriously, go with the Kenwood, amazing amp, great SQ (IMO) for the price, and pushes alot more power than that rockford (almost double!)
Great starter amp, and if you get hooked into wanting more bass like me, it still pushes out a fair amount.

Neither amp fits the drivers you have. Look for an amp that does at least 500rms (750-1000 would be my choice) at 1 or 4ohm as a final load.

I have finally purchased a Kenwood KAC-9102D which is rated at 850x1 @ 2 ohms/500x1 @ 4 ohms. Hopefully this should work well.
Thanx for all the input

i went through 2 of those in a week and returned both of them and picked up the rockford. rockfords alot better. cleaner sound and more consistent.
