Running 0/1 guage wire.

I was wondering on the best way to run 0/1 wire in an 1999 oldsmobile LSS. Its the same car as an Oldsmobile 88 but with a few extra options. I ordered this stuff not realizing how thick it was.

run it the same way as any other wire

Ya that doesnt really help as i was gunna run my other wires under the kick panels and i dont think 0/1 will fit.

Prolifik 01-27-2007 06:15 PM

sure it will

some people zip tie it under the car and drill thru the trunk floor, but im sure you can stuff it inside, giver a try. I had a 93 lss and its a big car there should be plenty of room.

if it doesnt fit one way, use ur noggin, take out ur seats, run it under the carpet, if theres a will theres a way, usually u can get away with running it under the plastic kicks along where the door meets the body for lack of better words, i wanted to run my 4 gauge ground and power with no bulge so i took my seats out, usually 4 bolts and maybe a wiring harness with a molex on it for electric seats or what have you, just figure out ur best options and enjoy :smilie_da

I think im gunna drill a hole through the dashboard next to the speedometer and run it along the cieling and then drill a whole through the leahter seats in the back and into the trunk. Then I can split the 0/1 and run it to my 100w rms amp. Thanks guys.

WTF? if that's your plan, I would get a shop to do it for you. can't be more than an hour of labour.

Do I have to connect it to the battery in the engine compartment or the one in my garage. Wont it get hot. My car runs at about 560 degrees celius as im out of oil. Where can I get some good sound quality oil and where do i put it. In the washerfluid resevoir?

run it through the interior as yuli said...theres no need to go under the car for only 1 run.

there are lots of people with 10+ runs still inside the car.
