Running Amp Without Remote.
#1
So If I were going to do the amp install myself i'd like to get away without removing the head unit, this seems very possible since all I need to hook up to the head unit is the remote wire.. the rcas will be piggy backed off my existing amp. So what eaxctly would happen if I were to hook it up without the remote wire ?

Make sure you are getting a full range signal through your first amp. As long as the RCA output from your deck is full range and not a dedicated low-pass (subwoofer) signal then you are a-ok.
