i was running them bridged at 4ohm each sub... and my amp powered them fine...
problem is my deck doesnt have speaker amp rca's... so i have to turn my bass down on my deck which kills the subs bass

i get like over $500 back in taxes this year so im upgrading to dvd player :P

Well.... htis is what i just did...

Tested 1type-x in its own sealed box at 2ohm, and 1type-x in its own ported box at 4ohm... OMFG the 2ohm sealed has nothing on hte 4ohm ported....

If both subs are identical you should not be able to run them at 2 and 4 ohms separately. A dual 2ohm sub can be wired at 1 or 4 ohms. A dual 4 ohm sub can be wired at 2 or 8 ohms.

...unless you have one of each...

he might be better running 1 ported at 2ohm if they are dual 4ohm. at least it would be getting the rms power. if you ran them the way i said before, each sub would only see 350rms. i would run 1 for now if they are dual 4. upgrade your amp to something that puts out somewhere in the 1800-2000rms range at 1ohm and run both later. that would be what i would do as long as they are dual 4ohm.

you hav two 1000w rms subs and only one 1000 wrms amp.

Looks to me like you need another amp.

(this is how i ended up with 6 amps)

LOL!!!!! 6amps.....

I got power issues with the car though... only 90amp alternator...
aperantly i can get a 110that can fit the car...
So right now i'm pretty happy with running just 1 at 4ohm.....
when i had 2 at 4ohm it was just as lound lol....
so im thinkin keep 1 sell one... but if noone buys it, i'm just gonna keep it till i get a 2nd car....
+ im getting a dvd deck + speaker amp... so there will be even more power issues.

In the next 3months this is my plan....
Buy and install 110amp alternator,
Get DVD player for the car, Install the speaker amp.
Get 4 .5 micro fared caps...
BUy Yellow Top Optima Battery...
Do Big 3...

I'd recommend you switch the order on the cap and big 3. If you do the big 3 first, along with a better alternator you might find that you don't need the cap at all. Actually, you should probably just do the big 3 before anything else.
