Shaker 1000 in Ford Mustang Rip Out?

I recently traded in an old bike for some Shaker 1000 subs. I am not a car audio guy but I am starting to get into it (my reason for buying it besides having nothing to lose but an old junker bike) and I was wondering if this could be put into my 1992 Acura Integra. Will it sound good? Thanks in advance!

Be patient and someone will answer eventually if they can. You are asking a pretty specific question. Also, it is Easter weekend adn people are busy. If you don't get a response call a shop and ask. Since they have experience with many differnt vehicles I imagine they will will be able to tell you. I just have no idea about the equipment or I'd help you. Myself, I would never bother with anything but aftermarket high-end.

so you wanna use a sub that was part of a ford mustand in your integra?

why not scout out the car audio classified here and get yourself a decent beginnner setup for under $400

Short answers to your questions.....yes and maybe.....:D

Longer answers.....yes, as long as you power the box correctly....none of the sites I found listed an impedance for the drivers or how much power was being fed to them....once you know the impedance, (which you can get with a multi-meter) you have the usual ???s to deal with as far as installing an amp and getting a signal for it to work on are concerned......:smokin:

The maybe part comes from the fact that that enclosure is made for the 'stang trunk, it's hard to predict how good it will sound in yours due to differences in air volume, shape of the trunk and access for sound from the trunk into the passenger cabin.....:dunno:

Bottom line is if you get it in there and power it up, you'll get more boom than you have now.....if it's not enough, you can use the stuff you bought to run other subs......:D

For the record....welcome to the board......:smilie_da This is one of the friendliest car audio boards on the 'net that you will find anywhere, and if there is a delay getting an answer to a question it is probably because no-one who reads the thread is familiar enough with the equipment to give you the answer you are looking for.......:dunno:

Feel free to have a look around.....there are sticky threads in every section dealing with different aspects of car audio, there are lots of pics of member installs to give you ideas for your car and your questions will get answered without a lot of the crap you see on other BBS's......as you can see, sometimes it takes a little while but we do get it done.......
