Shallow mount Pioneer Subs

Has anyone here used these subs in a system? They seem pretty cool being able to fit in tight spaces, but how loud are they?

I just bought an 06' Supercrew and space under the rear seats is limited.I am trying to find something thats loud but will fit in the back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some other options are Clarion, Blaupunkt, Kole Audio, Power Acoustics, and the Pioneers. I have not heard the Pioneers but had a chance to hear the Clarion 10" Slims and sound quite. Nice. But there is a few options for you in your search.

I agree, give them the right box and they do a above average job. I am considering them for my Supercrew.

For being slim line subs, they sound quite good when I heard them in a simular application to yours.

i heard 2 kicker l5 8" woofers in a ported box behind the seat that amazed with the amount of output. earthquake also makes a very shallow mount woofer that i havent heard but have heard good things about

Well i am wondering how 3 12's in a sealed box would compare to 2 15's in a bandpass box. I think i am sure gonna miss having my 15's

While you might have the physical space to mount the 3 12" drivers down there, your limiting factor is going to be the box. Figure out how much box space you will have, then choose 1,2 or 3 subs based on that. I would also consider the DD 8" driver, we used it in a small slot port box and it just plain blew away any other sub that was anything near comparable for that size of box. (1.25cu.ft)
