Should I get this HU????
I would like to buy a new head unit that has 5 volt preouts. I have been looking at a kenwood (Kenwood KDC-MP828) on cardomain.com and I need your guys’ opinions on it. I actually wish that this HU didn’t have the “g-force analyzer” because it seems like they would have to sacrifice something else (such as sq) in order to fit in this extra feature. But the price is great and I have a buyer for my old head unit so I think it is time to upgrade so let me know if you guys have had any experiences or thoughts about this head unit. Here is the link to the head unit http://www.cardomain.com/item/KENKDCMP828 .

get the excelon head unit...much better...better sound quality...they have 24 dac converter..in this case it should be burr brown....higher preouts i think...

How about this one then: The Kenwood Excelon KDC-X790 ( WEBSITE - http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=39 31). It is actually cheaper but I have never ordered off of woofersetc so I am not sure about how they treat their customers and whether or not it will come with a warranty.

you can also use excelon HU's to control functions on Excelon amps.. and like stated above excelon provides higher SQ

I am now on my 3rd Excelon deck. There have been a couple of issues with them over the years, but nothing too serious. The SQ out of them is great, they have a full set of toys to play with, and Kenwood backs them up with good warranty service....at least around the GTA they do.....
If you want to check them out, this link has all the details......:smilie_da Like most brands, the more you spend the more toys you get......:D |
