Show Drama...

Yes, the Andre's show issue was unfortunate, but let's look at it a different way:

I hold SQ and SPL shows for Car Audio dealers, I do not hold shows.

If a dealer asks me to hold a show on a certain date, and it is not in conflict with one of the sanctioned shows, I hold a show for the dealer.

The date was a bad idea, the shows were going to be combined but due to some personal issues between the stores it could not happen. I apologise to the competitors.

Since Andre's was not holding sanctioned shows, and the DB Drag competitors, of the last 10 years, would NOT of had a Western Canadian Finals. When I told Paradise Tint that some competitors would not be able to go to finals because of this. Joe Shaw, immediately stepped up and paid the fees for the event and bought the most beautiful trophies (I have ever seen) - spending over $3000!

Andre's shows this year were fun and I heard good things about them.

-------------------

I would like to say "thank you" for the past years of support of DB Drag and USACi to Andre's.

I do not think the statement of "we had more cars without sanctioning" isn't fair. Three years ago we had 108 competitors at the Andre's Western Canadian Finals with USACi and DB Drag. This number has never been beaten. I was proud of that partnership between Andre's and myself. Of course the year's prior, Andre's had success with unsanctioned shows, but I truly believe it enhanced the numbers of competitors.

This year's Penticton show, had no where close to the numbers this year then past year's shows being sanctioned.

I will say "I apologise" to the Andre's staff

That being said, I am not holding any more shows going forward.

I would like to thank every single store or person I have had the pleasure of meeting through shows! It has been great, thank you for the great memories.

I have held over 124+ shows from Winnipeg to Vancouver for IASCA, Db Drag and USACi - unfortunately my job and my family require more of my time.

There were 23 shows last year in BC, this one was rough, but I am sure life will go on.

Cheers...

Thank you for the clarity, though many of us will miss you in the circuit, or will you be still coming to some of the shows? Will you be competing still?

I still don't have my trophy or any recognition from that event. :dunno:

Family is important. Last year my wife came with me to most of the events that I competed in.

As for the drama, I don't want to hear about it from either side. It's bringing me down. We had fun there, on both sides. The grade 5 feud was unfortunate. We all tried to look beyond it. Let's try it again.

Hopefully for us you still have time to stick around here when time permits. Good luck with your family, that should always be #1.
