Hey Guys,

I'm looking for a good deal on an Alpine IVA-D310. I've won two ebay auctions which BOTH turned out to be frauds. Anyone know where to go for good prices?

thx

just go buy it at a local shop if you know how to talk to them you can get a good price... if you keep buying from the same shop you will keep getting good deals even better than the first!
shops like to see returning customers even ones that refer other customers and will treat you well for doing so... so go buy local and send your friends there forget about EBAY they cant give you a true deal or the service that you will want when something goes wrong..even if you want advice...you wont get it from ebay!

do you really think he will buy one for that price???? remember he's trying to compare to ebay... at that price I would rather buy a Kenwood or Clarion

It's true. Ebay I was winning (fake) auctions for $740 US. I've managed to get a local dealer down to $1199CAD (not installed) but I'd like to do a *bit* better than that...

so call up alpine and see if they'll sponsor you... but that'd probly be too expensive too.

I don't think 1200 is unreasonable, but you can buy them new from US websites for 899US. If 1200 is the best I can do here then that's what I'll go with, sponsorship notwithstanding lol

$1200 is a good price for that piece new. If I was you, I wouldn't be complaining about that. You can buy in the USA but unless you sneek them over and don't care about warranttee coverage, it's going to cost you ALOT more then $899. Shipping, insurance, brokerage, taxes ?? Buying in the USA can kill you at the border......... this sort of topic has been hammered to death on this forum over the years.
