simple set up for a K-20 truck
ok guys i'm confused here. i know for a truck a shallow mounting sub is what most recomend. thing is i have 4 10's or 2 12's i can use.
the 10's i am not sure of the make and or brand as they are sitting in my buddies garage and he's just gonan give them to me. the 12's are my old RF HX2's that i used to compete with. these are not very shallow and i know this for a fact. lol now the set up i am running for seating is like so. i am running to captian chairs out of a K-5 blazer. thier adjustable. i am short 5'10" so i don't mind being closer to the dash. its eiasier to reach the clutch pedal. each 12 will have its own amp. or 2 tens will have an amp each. i am not willing to do a blow through as this is my 4x4/work truck and i need my box. so what do you guys think? set up as far is my old clarion DXZ545mp... i know i need to update. they thier will be two four channel amps, i am running factory speakers in 4 corners. yes thier not blown and still sound decent. i'm gonna run 8 gauge i think it was. i would run 0 but why when this is just for party's and work. any how tell me what ou guys think. i don't wanna put limits on my sub's so if the 12's won't work i will do the 10's. |
I would not try to do the 12s in there.

ok yeah that what i was thinking, but i wanted some advice from you guys. lol
we finally swapped the motor in so it should be ready soon. 350, tbi heads. lol |
if it is a single cab chevy truck do not bother with the two 12's not enough air space unless you want to go sealed, mine as well go for two tens ported or even 1 12 ported if you can build a big enough box. If you are looking for output you might be able to go the single 12 route but definetly not 2 12's

lol i ment 2 10's behind my seat and anouther 2 behind the passenger seat. lol
