Anyone know what would be a good matchup
for audison amp i got... i want to run a single 15" my amp will put out 600rms at 4ohm... my current 2 12's are underpowered by this amp so just wanna run the 1 15... help me choose a suitable sub for as much poundage as possible with this amp... thx... |
I'm all in favour of the single 15" setup (check my sig) but to get the "most poundage possible from the amp" as you state, you would be better to go with two 12's that have a higher efficiency and lower power handling.
Maybe a pair of JL 12W3's? A single 15 Alpine type-R would do well ported if you want single sub. |
Do a ported 15". Dukk on this forum is the master of ported box .......... apparently  :D I think there's lots of choices driver wise too. Don't constain yourself to the normal big name brands or the run of the mill stuff either. Lots of choices including stuff like DD, Image Dynamics, etc, etc.

600 watts should be enough power for your 2 12" type R's.. if you are not getting as much output as you would like out of them, try getting a new box.. ;)

ummm i got better bass when i had the two 12's in that same box but had one of the subs at dual 2 which gave 600rms to one hookt up type r.. then i do running two diff type r's at 4ohm at 300 a peice... so dont think its all the boxes problem
|
Then maybe your box is too small.....or you need more power.
