Single 15" sub in an avalanche going to sound good?

hey all

I am looking into getting a new system in my 04 chevy avalanche and I don't know if this is going to work. I am thinking of throwing one big 15" sub in the midgate and some upgraded comps and speakers in the front.

I am looking at a few different subs rockford T2, MTX 9500, soundstream R1 maybe jbl gti.

I am wondering if it will sound good and if you all have any recomendations on other brands I can look at.

Please let me know

thanks

i to have a 04 avalanche. thought i was the only one here lol
theres no reason a 15" cant work and sound great and still be able to use the midgate. it has been done many times in the av. ive even seen 4 15", but that took the whole bed of the truck. the hard part is the build. i have found that most builders are at a loss when it comes to the midgate and because of it u need to do ur home work before hand. u need to know exactly what u want.
go here and sign up (its free)
www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com

there u will find alll the info u could ever want or need about the avalanche including some money saving tips on how to fix it when it breaks. that site has saved me thousands of dollers over the years.
there is a stereo section with tons of pics to help u.
the biggest problem u face is space. where to mount all those amps?

im available if u want to meet or just need info about ur av or ur build.
my system is not complete yet, i still have my centre channel to build and mount. im running CDT for front, rears and centre. sub is SSA xcon 12". i still need alot of tuning but was waiting for the centre to be in first. in in Toronto
feel free to contact me, in fact please do

if you are gonna run a 15" i would also look at the SA15 from Sundown audio and the HDC3 15 from Audioque
I have the HDC3 15 and it really throws down off only 1500rms
both of the subs that i have mentioned can take well over 2000 rms with good clean power
