SIR-ALP1 Problem with IVA-D300

I am having a problem with my Sirius tuner on my in dash. What is happening is that on the Sirius tuner its only playing out of the left channel basically. WHen I go to normal radio, cd, dvd, aux though it plays out of all the channels. So I have determined that its either the Ai-NET cable or teh tuner box itself. Could it be possible that it is the Ai-NET cable??

sure it's possible. That Ai-net cable carries among other things, your right and left stereo signals, so I would first try to wiggle it, unplug/plug it in, look for damage or bad kinks etc... If it is the cable, then don't worry too much, they're not too expensive. If you can borrow one and try it, that would an easy way to narrow it down. Go to a stereo shop and ask them.

Thanks for the pointers. The big thing for me is that I am about two hours away from the nearest Alpine dealers...I inspected teh cable for kinks and all but didn't find nothing. I pulled out and reinserted also. I am just hoping that it is the cable and not the unit itself. I bought that on Ebay when they were still selling for 40 bones

the other thing you can try, is to reset the head unit. Sometimes that gets things going again. Unfortunately, unless you can get another ai-net cable to try, you're going to have a hard time figuring out what's bad.

I also did try the reset...didn't do anything.
