Well folks, it seems the first original proto type was not this driver. I dont know what happened between here and there. But they are too stiff. *sigh* I don't know what to say....but sorry to keep you all in suspense. I fired up the pair with My Sundown proto and at first I was debating whether it was on. You have to really power it to get it going and then when it does it sounds over extended. I don't know what to say but back to the drawing board. I feel maybe the company did not gave me accurate specs or if it was a part or build issue.............sorry guys to let you down. Im so pissed and upset over this....the driver they first gave me performed amazing......an now. Well less then impressed and nothing I do to change it. But I thought you guys should know. Cause I can not sell them like this. I have a ton of money invested into this and it bombed. So I will be talking with the build company and checking to see what happened between the first proto and these. I will keep you informed if I hear anything.....sorry

my first impression is... surround is too wide and takes away from cone surface area... once produced would it be possible to change that for a narrower/high roll surround?

Could be, Im also pretty certain the dust cap on the first driver I tried was very stiff and strong. This one I can push and indent slightly with very little pressure.
I think its time to crawl under a rock now

Well Steve, I am glad to see that you're really trying to get these subs to sound great, there are alot of companies that would just sell the subs as is without telling the customers about the problems, so overall glad to see that you are honest and I hope everything gets cleared up. Well I am still going to purchase a 12 when everything gets fixed..

I know what you mean, and like I said at least your being honest and letting everyone know that there is something wrong.. Alot of companies are idoits and don't mention any problems to there customers just to make an extra buck..

So thank you for letting us know about the problems, and hopefully the problems are fixed soon, I am really craving a new sub..

Justin
