Smartass Subwoofer Testing
obviously no shipping if picked up locally?
so $65 for a 10"?
are there any qualifications that one has to have (system wise) to be able to give these a try? my setup is definately NOT an SPL one. Focal 165v2's up front and just a JL 10w6v2 in the back. kicker 650.4 biamping the Focals and i was using a 1200.1 on the JL. trunk and doors completely sound deadened also fwiw.
if i fit the category of what you are looking for in a tester let me know and i can probably have a friend pick up the sub from you next time he's in your area (next week most likely).
let me know

Yes local pick up is fine. And no shipping would be charged. Your system would fit the bill no problem. Again keep in mind its a testing phase.
I ran a 40-50hz sweep free air for about 45mins and loosen up quite a bit. Like I said they are starting to loosen up and sound abit better so keep in mind right out of the box they will be stiff and you will need to work with them in different enclosures to see what works best.

I always use my fingers to loosen up the spider, and then test tones very close to the resonant frequency in free air.
<edit> shitty to hear that the drivers didnt come out to spec, but it's great that you're being so upfront about it. </edit>

I might be interested if the price is right. I have a MTX 800.1 and would be interested in 2 10's. I have no clue where you located but I am sure it is close enough.
I am not a car audio guru but I have been car audio for about 6 years. Have a Kicker L7 right now and it pumps but I want something a bit better!

1 10" and 1 15" gone to a good home.
1 10" Left
2 12" Left
1 15" Left
Once these are gone if possible play with them for 2-3 weeks of regular duty and then post your opinions. If everything is looking a ok then I will bring a bunch more in and if not then...well back to the drawing board.
