So I've decided.

I think I'll simply get a JL 10" 300watt rms sub since they're only $100 and try to find a used amp.

I'm trying to save as much space as I can in my trunk of my 99 honda civic.
So I'll probably go with sealed.

You think the sub will even be noticeable in my trunk?
Excuse me for my budget setup.

You'll hear a low end boost that'll round with the components nicely but a 10" on 300W in a sealed box isn't much past "enjoyable on rock music", if you start noticing that you like bass than it's all over. Shouldn't take up more than 14x14x14 (.75" MDF) = 1.13 cubes, 1cube sealed is a good start.

As said above, the amount of base is all opinion. If you like bass'y music, 300WRMS isn't likely to cut it. I listen to Metal/thrash and 500wRMS, sealed is a lot more then I never need.

How about:
JL Audio 10WOV2 10" Subwoofer [10WOV2]
2 of those and
this box: Bass Slammer Dual 10" Unloaded Hybrid Enclosure with Grille [W

Where could I get a amp that'll pump 600watt rms at 4ohms.. or could I wire both of those subs to 2ohms somehow?

Wire them in parallel for a 2ohm load. Build your own enclosure, it will be worth it. You can get lots of help on here.

Or should I just power a JL 500watt rms with a 400watt rms amp?
