It's all a bunch of bull**** if you ask me, you could go round and round and round as to whether airbags are good or bad, I personally hate them so I had no problem removing my wheel for a aftermarket Momo. If they are that mandatory, why do manufacturers have key switchs on them to turn them on and off on the passenger side.

WCC is just getting more and more publicity which is only going to help them in the long run...................16K for that exposure............sounds like a good deal to me........

Honestly? GOOD JOB! safety needs to take priority over bling.

a screen in the steering wheel is pretty dumb, 'specially if you have to disable an airbag to do it.

there was a guy a couple years back who had one, and when he crashed his truck, his insurance company told him that he had no insurance the moment that the screen was put in. not only did it disable a vital safety system, but it is a HUGE distraction, no matter what is on the screen.

I don’t like video where the driver is going to watch TV vice drive... too many bad drivers already ... but I am with Tim on this one

WCC should be prosecuted for some of the ugly 'pimp my ride' work not removing a friggin air bag.

in ontario your car will pass a safety inspection with no airbags
a garage next door told me
they inquired at the mto after they had a car come in with no air bags for a safety

so that if there is a baby seat in the pass. seat, if the airbag deploys, it wont hurt the baby in the baby seat

Air bags are still classified as a supplemental restraint. They are not mandatory. A friend has a Taurus with no airbags in it (crash rebuild and they declined to replace them) and there is nothing the insurance agencies can say about it.

The manufacturers have made airbags a 'standard' item for marketing purposes and thus the public has concluded they are necessary items but they are not.

Aside form that - a screen in the steering wheel is moronic.

I'm think it is unsafe to have a TV in the steering wheel, like when your focusing on the TV, what about the road? what about the things happening around you. FOr a demo vehicle, or a "trailer queen" thats a different story, but I'd honestly have to back up the government when stating that "In steering wheel" monitors should be illegal. I'd be pretty worried about the already not-so-sober guy on the non-divided highway paying more attention to what is going on, on the TV then the road.

I guess when the guy crashes and his face ends up in the screen he'll finally get on t.v. Hard way to become a star.

tv in the streering wheel is stupid, disabeling your air bags is also stupid
