Well, lookin to get a alt in the near future and was curious if anyone could suggest a good alt. I will be looking for atleast 250 and if anyone knows where to get local ?, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

What type of vehicle?

 

Anything over 250 will cost u an arm and leg. Stick with a 200 amp. most re builders will able to make this for you cheaper if you bring your own core in. Dont forget. u may need to change other pulleys to make sure u get full charge at idle.

its what i have, very nice alt, they have great reviews, they have been proven to do what their said to do plus more, i myself cannot say much, becasue i A: havent pulled out the meter and tested it and B: do not have my system installed yet to say how well it performs. but look into one

 

had a local guy do the big case AD244 alt for my 4.3 99 s10, built it to a 220 amp

 

XS Power is the only 'name brand' I havent heard complaints about lately but local is always an option
