Interesting design for the Talon. So the guy works at a different shop but has you do the custom stuff? That is too funny. How much was it to get it painted? Any plans for trim panels on the sides?
How much fiberglass custom stuff do you do in say a month?

The Talon was a biatch. The guy comes in and says the intaller at their shop is too busy to do it. so I agree to do it. He sets all these requirements (ported box, needs to fit 2 amps a capacitor and the sub all in the hatch), and tells me the general shape of it he wants. Two days after I have started on it, he comes in and tells me he needs to keep the baby seat tie down in the trunk, and proceeds to come in every couple days with another requirement. It was brutal.
Anyways yes, there was going to be some trim panels to fill the sides, back and front, but they are put on hold till I redo the system.
I'm not sure how much paint was, he knows a guy at the Pontiac dealership here and had him paint it. I am guessing the guy did it for cost of materials plus a case of beer. I never paint fiberglass, I don't have a dust free environment, and a crappy paint job will ruin an otherwise flawless piece so I leave paint to a body shop (usually DAS Autobody here in the Hat).
I always seem to be working on something fiberglass. The Mazda I am working on right now is almost finished and then I will be doing his friends S-10 extended cab with Focal three ways, 2 Nak amps, and a Soundstream Davinci sub. The mids and tweets are going in fiberglass kick panels and the amps and subs will be going in a masive fiberglass box in the extended cab.
Help me someone and apply here to take some pressure off me, and you will get to learn some cool stuff too

Here's a hint, he's not from the independant.
Yes ACC is still open Wade. They now carry Alpine, Clarion, JVC. They still have MTX, Coustic, Panasonic, and I think even some old Kicker stuff laying around. You should give me a call sometime, I have some interesting stuff you should hear.

So anyone interested in coming here to work or what? I will be starting on a few more fiberglass projects until the end of September middle of October then it's gravy time for starter season.
Oh yeah let me know what you think of the work on the stuff on my SD page, let me know what you would change as well as what you like.

The Beetle project is in full swing, but it takes a long time to completely redo a cars motor, suspension, interior, and stereo!
The only thing that will be the same when the car is unveiled will be the paint job (unless I can convince the wife that it needs to be painted )
Right now all the sound deadening except the roof and the engine side of the firewall is done. I have all the engine tin and rear suspension either painted or in the process of being painted.
Once the rear suspension is done I will be able to move the car again (there are no axles wheels etc.) and the project will go faster.
