some simple questions for you guys...

ok, this probably sounds kinda dumb, but its something ive always tried to understand... the local stereo shop guys never can seem to give me a straight answer...

ok, lets say i have 2 subs, single 4 ohm impedance, max power handling of 500 watts. when wired together in parellel, what is the max power handling? does it stay at 500W?

another one... where can i find a good informative place to better understand all these greek terms ya'll use? like sq, spl, and other such stuff... :dunno: whatever happened to just installing some gear???!!!! and if ya wanted tunability, just wire in an eq... lol.

Depends on exactly how you're asking your question... but basically, the power handling of the sub remains the same. If it's a 500w max speaker, then it's 500w per, or 1000w for the pair.

As for a good site to learn all of these terms... well, HERE! :D ... just go ahead and ask questions...

In all honesty though... you can also try Basic Car Audio Electronics that site answers a LOT of technical questions, and does it very well. :smilie_da

sq and spl are not good measures of a subs capabilities. i read this some where but thats like a measure of clean sound.
if i find where i read it again i will send you info
