My sub is overpowered by the door speakers??

Hello just trying to figure out my system..
The equip,
Alpine 3886 headunit
Stock door speakers running off deck power[to be switched to ultimate compenents in near future]

The Bass A DD little monster 6.5" built into a very cool armrest, its ported and powered by a Ultimate audio T3-Series 4075..

The quandry, why can't I get the sub to run any louder? It's running off a fourchannel bridged and should be getting 180 watts at 4ohm... its a 4 ohm sub. I played indoors after molding the box off 100watts and it was incredibly loud for its size.. I played with gains etc.. and the digi meter on the amp is reading around 13.o?

Any input.. My thought is I need to power the doors and turn the gain down on them.. Maybe its because my last sub was 15".. or pic up a larger mono amp say 300watts for the sub...

cheers, DC

You're expecing miracles out of a single 6.5" sub.

Maybe it needs to be in a bandpass box

You can also try slot-ported box. There's a calculator for it on the net.

We had two DD 6.5" subs outputting 139.2 db on the tl. They can do the job. The box, power and vehicle are your obstacles.

you'll need to give more info on your enclosure like the volume, port area and length. What kind of bass are you expecting? you should get nice balanced sound, but not shaking your seat bass.
