soundstream bx-15 (my review)
after hearing alot of talk about bass reconstruction units like the bx-10 all the way to the bx-15 i've decided to see what all the fuss is about...
so as a control i tested my (small) system three(3) times.
i managed to record these modest scores
1) 145.9 db
2)145.2 db
3) 145 db
the average of which is 145.2 db's
then i installed the bx-15 which was easy enough to do.
it went in line before the amp as i had no crossover network.
then i proceeded to record the following scores keeping the volume and frequency settings the same as before
1)146
2)145.9
3)144.8 db's
the average of which is 145.6 !!
i was a little disappointed .! but when an audio track was played the unit really came to life.
it pounded my mmats 12" to the point where i'm convinced i need a new sub! the bass became fuller and for certain tracks i heard low's i never got before.
