Thanx for the replies, is there any way to check the RCA outs from the deck to tell that its not the deck?.....i don't have another deck kicking around to try it with. I played a test track on the deck them measured with a dmm on all 6 rca's and they are read the same 6.5....and read zero with the deck off....deck seems fine, all this blowing happened after the deck was off.

So , the repair shop called and said that my sub amp (Xtant1001) is cooked,
$250-$300 for repair...I've never had an amp repaired but I do know quite a bit about electronics and that sounds pretty steep considering there is nothing visibly wrong with the amp...anyone have a comment on the price....is it worth getting fixed?...know of a cheaper place?
thanx for listening.

I went to our site sponsors, S&S electronics. My mtx amp was about 90 to fix, that included quite a few things, I can't remember off the top of my head. Only disadvantage is they are in Scarborough, so you'd need to get it to them to have a look.
200-300 does look like a lot, sounds like half the amps worth (used).
