Speaker break in

I just bought a new set of Focal 6.5" comps. What is your opinion on the concept of break-in? Myth or reality?

Sorry, guess I wasn't being clear enough. I'm not asking if I should treat them differently, I'm wondering if they actually will sound that much different after they break in. Does the character change?

Nope. Myth. The only thing that happens over time is you either get used to them or tired of them.
