Speaker clicking noise Help!!!!
 

So I just installed 4 new Infinity Kappa Speakers (62.9i) pushed by a 4 channel Infinity 475a Amplifier. I also installed a active crossover (Kicker KX3) and have a Kicker L7 pushed by a infinity mono 611a amp. Im getting this really clicking noise coming from the tweeter and can only be heard when the music is very low. It is not RPM dependent so the clicking noise does not change temp as the RPM changes. I know it coming before the crossover because I plugged in a RCA directly into the crossover and the I get no clicking noise at all. Ive changed the grounding point twice without any success. Does anybody have a solution to this problem. I made a short 1 minute video so people could hear what im talking about. Thanks

I guess the first thing you'd need to do is isolate the noise.
Is that "click" audible from all four of the 62.9i's? Or is it isolated to one speaker? If you can't tell, use the fade/balance control to listen to each speaker independently. If only one speaker is doing it, switch the rca input for that speaker, with the opposite side, and see if it continues. (Make sure you then set your balance to the appropriate side). If the "click" persists, than its a problem with the amp, if it doesn't, it's the speaker.
As best as I can tell from the video, the "click" doesn't seem to be "in time" with the music - like its not happening when a low frequency is being played. Correct me if I'm wrong.
If it's a random noise, that isn't related to the timing of the music, then I'd guess there's something external messing with the amp. Maybe you'll have to check more than the ground connection.

A either your channels on the crossover is defective as in inputs or faulty outputs.
B you could have improper wiring connections that causin this noise , even crappy rca causes this or improper placement of rca being too close to certain electrical components in the car itself that cause certain noise feedback to your system ..
C from the looks of it i sense an interference with connections , or just a defective crossover only way to know is trying to dry run all connections meaning new power source dry running the rca outside and see if it goes away and if it does you have found your problem the placement and feeding of your rca and your power source one of those two or both first off place the rca in a different location still persist try the power line to a different 12 volt source and ground somewhere else and try remote from ign if it goes away you only had a power interference feed back and if nothing works still the clicking noise try a new known good crossover more then likely that is the case defective crossover hope this all helps out
