Speaker maintenance for winter? is there such thing?
 

Just about to store my summer car away.
I have a very high end sound system in my car.... lots and lots of top of the line stuff and the car is now in storage (Inside garage, cover, on Jacks, No battery, gas tank full, fuel stabilizier blabla, just a bunch of little things,)

Anyways my question...
Is there anything that is recommended to do to the speakers for winter storage so nothing happens to them?
Do I need to play them once a week, for a certain amount of time....or is there something else that should be done?

Someone inform me on winter storage when it comes to audio equipment...
Im just wondering if you enthusiasts do anything with your stuff, or just leave it as it is, and play it again in the summer.

Think about it for a minute. your car is inside (like a warehouse), temp controlled (like a warehouse), the speakers may as well be in the manufacturers box sitting on a shelf in a warehouse.

Hmm, I guess if they were untreated paper cone drivers, and the humidity was super low they could crack, but that seems unlikely.

Mice could be an issue, lay down some poison, or get a cat.

Also dont forget to change the air in the tires from Summer air to Winter air.

Don't listen to these guys. Make sure that you keep them nice and warm...I would suggest using a blow dryer on the surround once a week if you're not going to be playing them on the weekend just so that they don't get stiff.:smokin:

LMFAO. IF u had Audiobahns then it might have been a problem ( IT MIGHT ) lol but seriously theres nothing like that .
