Speakers For Sub

Alright so I have come to this website looking for help, this is my first system so anyways hear we go.

I got two 12" power t1 Subs and a 1800-1 power amp i believe? they have the perfect box for them and everything but this took up all my money. they are in a ford 1999 explorer sport. i was curious on how much i coud look to spend on speakers and an amp for them to make it sound decent, and my variety of choices. and how would it sound with out the speakers for the time being, and do the subs produce any lyrical sound or anything like that? .. thank you i still got a month, probaly could get around 700 by then but if thats not good enough thats fine give me suggestions please

See MR2NR, he's in your province.

He may have some MBQ Premium speakers for sale still. I bought these speakers from him. Then you'd need a 2 channel amp that does 80W x 2 @ 4 ohm or something with a little more output if you wanted.

Any chance you can tell us what the model numbers are for you subs and amp? The info you gave is too vague.

Two 12" subs will not play high frequencies - I think that's what you're asking. The woofers are simply tasked with playing the lower frequencies that the stock speakers cannot reproduce. It also allows you to reduce those lower frequencies the stock speakers don't need to play, and allows them to operate within their range more accurately, thus sounding better.

I think you could get it all for $700 with taxes and install.

See if you can find a shop that carries MBQ, and have a listen. Probably any brand-name 2 channel amplifier will sound decent. Its the extra power that makes the speakers sound better.

I'd let MR2NR take care of you...

I have one pair of these fine speakers left. I also have a incredible deal on the Eclipse XA2000 amplifier to power them to 150w rms per channel or a Pioneer amp with slightly less power. Add some sound deadening to the front doors and the proper speaker templates (as your speakers are going to be a 5x7" and component speakers are going to be a 6.75" round) and you are off and running.

Rear speakers if you want them are fairly inexpensive. It is personal preference if you want rear speakers (personally I like rear speakers so I would). Without front and rear speakers and a amp to power them, you will have some sound but expect to be a overwhelming bass machine.

Alright lets bump it up to 1000, but the cheaper the better.

Add me to msn, I am on Vancouver Island. No problem shipping it over to you. Lots of options to consider but I can narrow things down with a truckload of questions and then explain the options to you. MSN makes it way quicker and way easier to do so. MSN is in my sig.
