SPL brand subwoofers

I'm looking at getting a SPL splw12 sub. As far as I know they are a knock-off of the Power Acoustik ****. Does anyone out there have or had one of these, any info on them would be great.

They are both pretty much a Chinese type SPL sub. Very basic, handle the power fine. Not very efficent. Depends on cost I guess. They do the job fine. For a few bucks more you can get into an American Made SPL sub which normally a recone can be purchased just in case of failure. And some of our fine members here may have some slighty used SPL subs for a fraction of the cost. How much are they from where you are looking at and how much power do you have and voice coil configuration requirements.

I can get them for 150CAD. each. I am running a 1100w RMS monoblock that can handle a 1 ohm load.

Survey says.....Ebay does? Place your bets now....

I had to, I could not resist. If a local shop has them, that's great as they will be there to look after you.

Well they are pretty much the same driver less some astetics, secondly $150cdn for the 1100/2200W 12" version? Cause that is lower then the US dealer cost. So not to sure what to tell you on this.
