I got a 2007 mazda3 with factory everything intacked. I dont want a system that is setting off car alarms and making people def but I want quality with just a bit of pounding! I bought a Alpine CDA-117 CD-R/-RW/MP3/AAC/WMA Cd Player and need to no what else i should get? remaining budget is about $300. Ill take pics and post them when im done...................go nuts boyz.

Realistically you won't be able to do much with $300 in terms of bass especially if you're not installing yourself, but if loud bass is not what you're going for you may be happier upgrading your front set of speakers to some decent aftermarket components for around $150, and then run them amp'd for about another $300 + install.. you won't get the bass a subwoofer system will put out but for the cost you'll likely get much more satisfaction out of it. Something like this http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/produ...?itemid=225197 would make for an easy stealth install so it'd also be less worry about getting broken into.

I know 6x9's can put out some decent bass but if you're going to upgrade the rears i would upgrade the front too. If you have room to box 'em they should sound even better.

Anywhere from 50w-100w/channel RMS 4ohm should be fine, personally i wouldn't stick oval speakers in the front though i believe they tend to be louder but not as good of quality sound.. If you can fit 6.5" in front they're the most commonly used.
