sq set up in regular cab truck

hey guys, im just lookin for a little input on my truck... I dont need the most exspensive speckers but i dont want the cheapest either.... i have a few questions...

What shallow mount sub should i run..............(port or not )

Should i run components front and rear or just front... what do you guys think would sound best in this thing... i want it to get loud but sound good and i dont want my bass to overpower the music so im kinda wondering what the best set up would be...

what are some good names to run i know everyone has there on opinions but whats the best bang for the buck... I dont want to get components in the rear for 140.00 if a 6x9 for 125 will sound better... any input would be appreciated ....

If its SQ you want... Then you only need a front stage.

Spend the money on a quality 2-way component set. (Diamond Audio, Hertz, Focal, Alpine, Rainbow)
Be sure to deaden your doors well.
Invest in a nice 5 channel amp. That way you can run active (Audison, Alpine)
Sub stage can be anything from Kenwood, JL, Stereo Integrity

Definitely put the $ into front components and mount them properly. Going active is more work for you and alot of work if it is new to you. If it is just go with the passive crossover and throw some power to them. Shallow mount subs work wonders, I have had great luck with the Kenwood Excelons over any others that I have tried. They will work sealed or ported and that is going to depend on the number of subs you use and if you have the airspace in the box.

Ok, going active what does that mean.. would my 5channel run everything or just my front door speackers... ( should i just disconnect the rear's and not even worry about them speackers....? ) I had a set of infinity kappas components back in high school and they did wonders comoared to alot of the other kids set ups.... I enjoy not only being able to hear some bass but also knowing exactly whats being said when its turned up....

Im not sure if im lookin to spend the money on focal and all that how much am i lookin at spending if i go ya'lls rout.....

Also.... were would u guys mount the tweeter on the components... thanks for ya'll input on this matter

what others have you ran shallow mount wise ( do you think one 12 will do the trick for me I dont want it so loud my vehickle starts to rattle to peices lol... like my blazer does...

I would buy a nice 5 channel.

I would personally fiberglass the tweeters into the a pillars (where on the a pillars depends on personal preference)

Then I would bridge the other channels to give really good, clean power to the front stage (you'll have lots of headroom)

Then I'd buy myself a nice component set (Focal, Hertz, Diamond Audio)

In my 1991 Mazda B2200 regular cab. Fibreglassed for 2x12"s and with Jalat's advice, tuned to 34Hz.

man i dont know if im lookin to spend over like 150 on my components though lol.... you guys may be talking a little higher end than im thinking... so i'd bridge 4 of the channels for my components... and then use the 5th channel to run my sub or what?...

But needless to say no matter what i go with i probably should just unhook my rear 6x9's since my components will do the job... on the lower end of the price range who makes decent stuff....
