Square Port Help Please!
 

Hey, I am trying to build a ported box for an Alpine X Type 10". The box is going to be 14.5"High by 20"Wide by 12.5"Deep, this is the specs for the sub. (1.4 cubic feet) I want to make the box square ported and tuned to 30 hertz so how big should the port be. The Sub is powered by the Alpine V12 MRD-1001 (1000w rms). Please help as i am a little confused by ported boxes. Also can the port be built using the side of the box?

Diargam or Pic would be great if possible.

Ya you can use the side of the box as a wall for your port - brace the port - go see your local dealer for some input on box design, they should be willing to help you out..

As well you can contact alpine tech support - info on their site if memory serves..
