C'mon Haunz, if the 6x9's are so pretty put them on the wall, or hang them from your mirror.

Do the 8"midbass, 6.5midrange, and a good quality component tweet, and those doors will blow you away.

Alright... I appreciate the input...

I havne't found any 8's I really like.. but 2 6.5 midbass plus a 6.5" component set might be the answer...

Im gonna have to build my own.. cause I don't think a single 1" dome tweeter is going to cover my highs and be loud enough...

2 6.5" midbasses

6.5" midrange + tweeter

Hmmmmm....sounds familiar...

Yup...it's overkill! Althought my plan for my car is vaguely familiar...

What about a 6.5 midbass in each door (something like the koda mids) and a 5 or 4" mid in the kicks with a tweet and an imaging tweet in the a pillars?

Were you aware that JL Audio now makes actual subwoofers down to 6" with a mounting deepth of only 3.5 inches?

Yea, using a smaller speaker for midrange is an option... I wanted a 6.5 because it will get louder then a smaller speaker from 500hz-6khz... a 5.25 would play up to 8khz or so, but shouldn't the tweeters be picking that up ?

Tweeter is back to the first plan of 2" super tweeter that can play 2-20khz mounted in the door pods...

I'll have to play with a set of 1" domes in the A pillers like you guys are suggesting...
