Strapped VS bigger amp

The only advantage i can see with a strapped setup is that it's less expensive to add more power when you already have a strappable amp. So if money is not a prob you should go bigger not stapped? Also, knowing that every amp are different, how a strapped setup know how to balance equally the power of the 2 amps?

Enlight me plz!

You can also chop your impedance in half by strapping amps. On say a 4 ohm sub, each amp will see 2 ohms (unless they're crazy like the Stetsoms and work the other way). Another plus is that you don't have to worry about gain matching or anything, as the settings from the slave amp will mimic those of the master amp. Not sure exactly how it works, other than the fact that one amp drives the positive side, and the other drives the negative (I think).
