Sub box alignment in a 96 golf

I got a 15" Fi.BL on the way, and want to start on a box. Thinking of about 4 cubes @ 33 hertz for a design. Just wondering what the best way to align sub/port is (all rear facing, sub up port back, vice versa, etc). There will be no competing, all music. I think I got about 34-35 inches wide, 17 inches high, and between 18-20 inches worth of depth externally. I'll double check dimensions in the morning.

either with slot or aero ports i'd fire the sub up and ports towards the side. almost like the crx box but turned side ways.

i think 4 cubes will be too much tho.

to be honest i havent work with many 15's but if i had one i'd probly put it into something like 2.7 cubes, nothing bigger. tune it to 33hz and with some powre it will ****. i dont think you need a big box to get tha thing loud. the box i use for 3 DD 12's is only like 4 cubes, so each 9512 gets like 1.3 cubes. small but breaks 150 playin music.

Hey Prolifik, just wondering if I should run my port along the bottom of the box, or vertically like most boxes do. I think it would be easier to run it along the bottom, but wanted to know if it would be better to run it vertically. Also, wondering if I should put the sub in the middle, or off to one of the sides, and if I should port to the driver or passenger side.

Ya, I know what your talking about. Last question, just wondering if I should port to the drivers side or passenger side, or if it really matters?

i doubt it will matter if you not going to compete with it. in comp set ups they were ported to the driver side.

Awesome, I'll give that setup a whirl. Probably won't be in for about a month or so (waiting for reading week to do my full install), but I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks for the help.
