I'm building a sub box for underneath the back seat of a Dodgr Ram.I'm going with two 10's.Should I build it so each speaker has separate air space or have them share the total airspace.Or could I connect the two chambers with a section of pipe or some woodworking.

Since your going to have limited room for the net space ur subs need, id made it one big chamber.

The subs call for .65 cubic feet each.Right now I have .45 for each sub, each having their own enclosure. What difference would that make soundwise?I've read that it would be punchier which would be OK.Because of the design of the floor and bottom of the seat it was a lot easier to build 2 separate chambers. If I have to join them I'll find a way but if I left it I could use the middle area for an amp rack. This is my first sub box so I don't want to get to carried away.

Separate chambers for the the subs is fine. Too bad you can't squeeze some more volume for them.
One thing you can do is stuff the chambers with polyfill. It acts to increase the volume without actually increasing it. Try to get 1lb in each chamber.

if joining them will allow you more airspace then do it. Bigger = deeper sound..... to an extent.

Thanks for the replies. Now a question on wiring.I will be using an older Rodek amp to drive the subs. What would be the best way to wire them. They are Stage 1 Punch SVC 10".Should I just wire them in normal 4 ohm stereo mode?
