yes fibreglass.... NOW before u say it will dry way to hard etc etc the cone of my sub is aluminum i think, its painted but i sanded a small part and its shiny under so im thinking of trying to fix the HUGE crack with fibrglass

this isnt my first time with glass so i know how to use it and prep ur piece etc, u think it will hold?

testtones 06-25-2009 07:24 AM

_HeC_ 06-25-2009 07:35 AM

Killer_klown187 06-25-2009 07:43 AM

ahhh poopy....Yeah I don't think it would hold up either, but im sure there is something you could do, it would be ugly as hell though...Jb weld it :D

_HeC_ 06-25-2009 08:07 AM

i put a really thin coat of JB on it when i first noticed it and it jsut ripped it to lol im gonna try the fibreglass as i have everything i need to do it, worst that happens is my broken sub stays broken lol

testtones 06-25-2009 08:20 AM

dont drip resin into that coil.... and with the cone bent like that I would be suprised if the coil is centered in the gap still as well... the spiders may have held it there as long as the cone isnt pushing it sideways.

umm would it just not be cheaper for a new one??

_HeC_ 06-25-2009 11:39 AM

umm no, sub is $200US+shipping+customs.... i wasnt happy with my SS sub so i wouldnt buy it again, jsut want some temp bump until i find something new so tossing some FG or JB weld on for $10 is worth it andif it doesnt work i dont care lol
