I HAVE NO IDEA..

It's a zapco AG750 amp

There is a button for each channel..Here's what it says:

in - x 10
out - x 1

I have no idea what it does.

Tinsel leads flaky at some point in excursion?
Does it do that at any volume level?
What happens when you block the port?

Tinsel leads are the wires that go to the coil of the sub from the terminals (usually the source of the problem is the soldering in the terminals). If the connection becomes poor, or "flaky" it might cause the connection to be lost temporarily.

The eD subs all use woven tinsels, so it shouldn't be that. Sounds like whatever song it was and the volume you had it was just overdriving the sub. Maybe the note is that song was well under your tuning?

Even still, I had to fix my Eclipse Ti from that problem and it has woven tinsels into the spider. The - terminal had the loose connection.

OK, got what you are saying now. I think he has found it was specifically the song he was listening to though.
