sub wiring to 2ohm

i`m in the process of deciding what subs to get for my truck, depending on whether the box goes behind the back seats or in front of the back seat. even though the trucks a super cab, 21 feet long, space inside is limited. I shot the puck and picked up a kicker zx-750.1 for a good price so i need a sub or subs to match.
the amp is good to 2ohm, now my question is if I decide go with a pair of 10`s rather than a single 12 what config is better to see a 2ohm load, dvc 4ohm wired in series/parallel, or svc 4ohm wired in parallel?

would there be a difference in sound between the two?

the power output is
•RMS Power Rating (14.4V):
◦4 ohms: 375 watts x 1 chan.
◦2 ohms: 750 watts x 1 chan.

so you want a 2 ohm sub configuration.
a 4ohm dvc sub will be 2 ohms in parallel.. So you cannot wire 2 of these in parallel because they will give you 1 ohm, which the amp cannot handle
So if you want to use 2 subs,, you have to use two single 4ohm VC or a dual 2 ohm in series to give 4 ohm.. then 2 in parallel to give 2 ohms
or the other way. the 2 VC in parallel to give you 1 ohm, then 2 subs in series to get back to 2 ohms. ... the jury is out as to what is best. If it where up to me I would do the former

sub hunt

now i`ve been looking around for a pair of svc 4ohm or 2ohm dvc subs are they are so frickin hard to find at local audio shops, most carry 4ohm dvc which doesn`t help me with my 2ohm amp.

when i went around asking for 2 ohm dvc subs, the reply was "special order" or this dumb look on the guys face and a "just buy a 1ohm stable amp".

canada has sweet phuck all these days for selection so i guess my choices are:
1. run the kicker at 1 ohm till she smokes
2. buy subs from on-line from the U.S
3. buy a 1ohm stable amp and sell the kicker.

jl has the w3`s svc 4ohm, but i need to take out a loan to pay for them....................

why not buy just one good 2 ohm sub?

1 sub isn`t going to cut it. i tried a kicker l7 in a small sealed box and it didn`t hit very hard. i have a dd 500 series in a sealed box and its ok just for now but i`m looking for more punch. I picked up a 2cf ported box, and i`m building a sealed box around 1.7cf to see which one will give me the sound i`m looking for. i`m stuck for room in my truck, so i opted for a box between the front and back seats since its a supercrew, rather than behind the rear seat.

just trying to find a pair of 4ohm svc or 2ohm dvc subs in the gta is a pain, might get a pair of type r`s, or order a pair of sundown ev2 or sa`s from the states, shipped from the US the sa 10`s are the same price as the type r`s.

alot of shops that i used to go to just a few years ago are either closed or downsized with very little stock, in fact most shops have to order what you want. frustrating!!!!!! Is car audio dying in canada?
