There's just something about mass manufacturing that just doesn't have the same degree of quality that goes into the product.

That goes for anything, not just speakers. If you put in on an assembly line VS handmade, the quality will probably show through.

Holy necro! Anyways, I'd take issue with that comment. Machine assembled pieces can often achieve higher tolerances than hand assembled, you can't say either is better as a blanket statement.

Exactly.

I cannot remember the last time a machine went to work hungover or disgruntled.

I think we all trust our lives to machines and all the thousands of parts in them that are not handmade( or just cannot be handmade) on a daily basis. Kind of funny, i was just thinking along the same lines last saturday as I was landing at Pearson airport. I am definitely not saying that one is better than the other, just that good quality is good quality, regardless of production technique.
