Subwoofer Polarity?
On my headunit I can switch the phase of my sub output, either 0 or 180 degrees.
Now, I understand what this means. Being in or out of phase, but here's my question. I can't tell a difference between the two. Is it normal for it to sound the same? Does anyone have any opinions to which is better? |
Often it makes no difference. Sometimes you will hear a hole in the upper bass/lower midbass area with it in one of the two positions because really you are trying to match it to your midbass drivers.
